We are a group of wood crafts people, furniture makers and artists based in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire who share a common interest in sustainable local timber
Our aim is to encourage greater understanding of woodlands, timbers and using wood based products. We formed in 1997 as a Trust concentrating on traditional woodland crafts - the crafts that shaped the woods around us. Our membership now includes furniture makers, sculptors and timber building specialists to name but a few. We warmly welcome new members

A number of week-end woodland craft courses are on offer at the Ecclesall Woods Sawmill Site through 2011, many of which suit beginners.
Advanced level courses are planned for 2012 for people who have attended the 2011 beginner courses: including Trug making, Welsh Frame Basket making and Stake & Strand techniques to make a Log Basket. For more details go to the Events page.
