Welcome to Working Woodlands
We are a group of wood crafts people, furniture makers and artists based in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire who share a common interest in sustainable local timber
Our aim is to encourage greater understanding of woodlands, timbers and using wood based products
We formed in 1997 as Working Woodlands Trust concentrating on traditional woodland crafts - the crafts that shaped the woods around us
Our group is now more diverse with members including furniture makers, sculptors and timber building specialists to name but a few. We warmly welcome new members

On 19th July 2008 we celebrated the opening of our
beautiful timber framed Gallery at Ecclesall Sawmill

During the early part of 2008 Working Woodlands members constructed
two bridges for Weston Park based on the original Victorian designs
