History
Key Achievements of Working Woodlands:
Created a successful network of timber workers who use local sustainably sourced timbers
Partnered with Sheffield City Council, Working Woodlands was the driving force behind the development of the "Wood Centre" at Ecclesall Sawmill
Through close collaboration with Sheffield City Council, created opportunities for woodland recreation, education and wood-based businesses
Worked on a number of feasibility studies that focussed on opportunities for development at Ashopton Sawmill near Ladybower Reservoir (generously supported by the Peak District National Park Authority's Sustainable Development Fund)
Successfully ran a Gallery based at Ecclesall Woods Sawmill Site from November 2006 to May 2010. The Gallery sold a wide range of wood based products, from logs and wood-chip through to fine furniture
