Our recent activities include:

 

 

Woodfair 2009

On Saturday 26 September we participated in the Woodfair at Endcliffe Park organised by Sheffield City Council. A marquee contained a display of member's work while several members undertook demonstrations around the grounds. The image shows Handspring Designs' demonstration of timber frame building construction  

 

Art in the Gardens 2009

Over the week-end of 5-6 September we participated in Art in the Gardens at Sheffield's Botanical Gardens. Our prize-winning stall included displays of ceramics by Hanne Westergaard (these had been fired using wood supplied by members), a rowing boat by Handspring Designs (made as part of a community project) and a huge Conference Table by Bryan Frisby

 

 

Gallery in Ecclesall Woods

From July 2008 until May 2010 we ran a Gallery from this beautiful timber-framed building at the Ecclesall Woods Sawmill Site  

 

 

 

Weston Park

During the early part of 2008 Working Woodlands members constructed two bridges for Sheffield's Weston Park based on the original Victorian designs
